When not walking or cycling, she's at her desk with the radio on, and a cup of tea going cold on the side. Oh, and trying to teach the new young cats not to walk on the artwork.

Lily and Bear began when her daughter, Skyla, drew a picture of lots of little, coloured hearts and said, "This is the colour of my love for you, Mummy." Lisa created a screen print based on this drawing, which you can see on the endpapers to Lily and Bear. Lisa wanted to explore her children's pictures and their child-like way of looking at the world and Lily and Bear was born.

Lisa is a designer, author and illustrator. She is a committed lover of cabbage and marshmallows – although not necessarily at the same time. And she has a penchant for collecting piles of old lined paper to doodle on.
Lisa has collaborated with Burberry, Harrods, Liberty, Tate, Selfridges, Heal's, Boots, Debenhams, John Lewis and Japanese stores Ships, Hankyu & Isetan. She is currently working on some bespoke cushions with Liberty.

Dan Taylor has always had a passion for illustration and, since graduating with an illustration degree, has spent many years working as a freelance artist on a variety of different projects. Much of his inspiration comes from a love of 1950s and early 1960s design and his design heroes include people such as Mary Blair, Alexander Girard and Charles and Ray Eames.

Dan works in a number of different medias, including traditional painting techniques combined with digital. He obsessively collects mid 20th century and Scandinavian furniture, drinks ginger & lemon tea by the gallon and lives with a mischievous little dog, called Bertie.

Algy Craig Hall was born in London in 1975. He gained a degree in Economics and Politics at Warwick University and followed this ten years later with an MA in Children's Book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art. When Algy is not illustrating, he works as a financial journalist for Investors Chronicle magazine. Algy lives in London with his partner Emily and his daughter Madeleine.

Alexandra Milton

Alexandra Milton was born in Paris and brought up on a diet of beautifully illustrated children's books. After living in Germany, she studied art and English in Paris before moving to England, where she worked as a primary school teacher before becoming a full-time artist. Alexandra draws inspiration from her father, Wolfram Aichele, and grandfather, Erwin Aichele, both distinguished German abstract artists. Alexandra lives in London with her husband – author Giles Milton – and their three daughters.
